This seems to be more common then uncommon. Each time I download a briefing for a potential flight plan, the images from any downloadable charts will not download. I always get an error. Any info on this? Thank you.

You are not alone. I have pointed this out to @Walter Boyd before, too. It is a long-standing issue with the current pre-flight briefing system in iFly.

Ok. Thanks. Just very frustrating all the little things I have to go to other EFB applications or websites (Leidos) to get info. I don’t understand how I pay the amount for IFly and yet it has so many missing items. I realize it is a lot of hard work that goes into this app and platform, however if for sure is not freeware. It is frustrating to not have vital info that other more or less expensive apps have. I’ll keep monitoring communications in the fourms in reference to the revisions. Thanks agian.

Sorry about that, I fully understand any frustration you may have with these sorts of issues. This is something that we are very aware of, and our development is actually working on implementing the 1800wxbrief weather briefing pdf format (or something similar) into the app, that way the imagery would be fully available to view. I don't have a timeframe on this, but we'll be sure to make it known once it's fixed. Thanks for your feedback!

iFly began as a moving map product. The primary focus throughout development of the product has always been to provide best-in-class in-flight navigation support. I think it excels in that area.

The non-flight functions like pre-flight briefing and flight plan filing are not (yet) as refined. Personally, I accept that, since I have many more resources available to me on the ground. Just like I don't mind having to use two different applications for word processing and web browsing, I don't mind using multiple tools for pre-flight planning and in-flight navigating.

I know it has worked for me... but it's not working now. How about just making it a clickable link, and let it open a web browser for use to look at it with? That should be a simple fix.

Does anyone know if something was fixed? I ask because I was requesting a briefing and the problem areas in the brief worked.

If the issue was not fixed, then I potentially had an issue with my equipment or there was simply an IFly bug (When I was previously trying to retrieve briefings and was receiving errors).

As the picture attached shows, it looks like it’s working now.
