Garmin Integration

I would really like to see Adventure Pilot support the Garmin Ecosystem. I'm currently flying an airplane, which I built, that has a Garmin G3X EFIS and a GTX45R ADS/B In/Out Transponder. I'd like to use the GTX45R for ADS/B traffic and weather input via Bluetooth. I'd also like to Transfer Flight Plans via the Garmin FlightStream input through the G3X's Bluetooth input. Both of these functions are currently available from Garmin's Pilot EFB and ForeFlight's EFB.

I have sent a request to Garmin via their Feature Request Page ( https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/ ) to provide EFB developers with their I/O format. May not help but it definitely can't hurt.

I was an iFlyGPS user until I started flying my Garmin equipped airplane. I'd switch back in a heartbeat if the above functionality ever became available.

I would like to second the Garmin Integration request. Out flying club has 5 172's each one has the Garmin GTN750. It would be nice to have iFlyEFB support on these navigators.

Adventure Pilot has repeatedly stated their position over the years that they would like to add iFly integration with Garmin devices.

Asking for that integration here is preaching to the choir. AP is in violent agreement with you. There is nothing to be gained by asking for it here. You've already won that battle.

The only thing stopping AP from adding Garmin integration is Garmin. Garmin does not believe there is any benefit to them in allowing iFly to interoperate with their devices.

Your requests need to be directed at Garmin. And based on past history, I do not expect you will get a positive response from them.

But this is a "Feature Request" forum. We are just making our requests known, in a public forum. I complete understand that Adventure Pilot (AP) is at the mercy of Garmin making their architecture open to other vendors.

Like in the Garmin ADS-B Integration thread in this forum, It's important for requesters to ALSO contact Garmin at https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/ and make your desires known.

If anyone is at Airventure this week, please stop by the Garmin tent(s) and let them know that Garmin Pilot/Foreflight aren't the only EFB's that people are using.

Sure. I'm just pointing out that Adventure Pilot already knows their customers want that and that AP wants it, too. They have wanted it for a long time. Feel free to keep telling them you want it, but it's not really going to accomplish anything.
