    Notification of bluetooth disconnect

The ADS-B status instrument is good only for ADS-B. My system uses Bluetooth to connect my tablet to my Garmin autopilot to provide NMEA GPS steering to the autopilot. Actually for my system the ADS-B packets come through WIFI, not Bluetooth, so the ADS-B status tells nothing in regard to...

Recommendations for 7-8 inch Android tablet for iFly

So I took a commercial flight from Chicago to San Francisco yesterday and was the airplane geek by the window playing with his flight app. Anyway, during the flight I managed to get iFly to crash a few times and one other time it just locked up. Not sure there was any similarity in what I was...

Recommendations for 7-8 inch Android tablet for iFly

Thanks for the detailed responses. I am torn between getting a cheap 8 inch tablet as opposed to something like the tripletek or galaxy active. Obviously those 2 would be better especially for sunlight readability but at more than 5x the price is a big difference. I do fly an airplane with a...

Procedure turns, holding, and missed approaches

I didn't see anything in the feature request section so here goes. It is easy to add an approach, but that approach may require a procedure turn or other course reversal and the loaded approach doesn't depict this. It should for an IFR EFB. Next up is sequencing to the missed approach. Not...

A way to turn off airport flags in 3D EFIS view

After reading some other opinions about this, I have a suggestion for implementation. Some people may not want any airport flags displayed, some may want all of them displayed, but another option is to only display flags for waypoints in the active flight plan. As for how it is implemented in...

Turning off airport flags in 3D EFIS view

Don, after reading your post I played around with iFly EFB for a while trying to find the 15 different sizes of EFIS that you mentioned. In the Android app I only see full and 1/2 screen options. Can you enlighten me? I also have a suggestion for implementation of a flag toggle that I will put...

Real Plan Slider to Avoid Airspace

I agree that real plan plots a course way to close to airspace. One of my airplane has no transponder and no ads-b out so cutting that close isn't an option. I am in Northern Illinois fairly close to the O'Hare class B and associated mode C ring. I would never want to get as close to that as...

Recommendations for 7-8 inch Android tablet for iFly

Thanks. I have a Sonerai, so about the same size. How is the Lenovo M9 in sunlight? Pretty readble?

Recommendations for 7-8 inch Android tablet for iFly

I'm currently running iFly EFB on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e 10.5 inch tablet. My little homebuilt is a bit cramped and I'm thinking about buying a smaller tablet for iFly. I see in the FAQ the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 listed and it looks great, but I'd rather not drop close to $600 if I don't...

A way to turn off airport flags in 3D EFIS view

I really don't care what the "default" is. I just want to have the option to turn the flaps off if I don't want to see them.

A way to turn off airport flags in 3D EFIS view

I just started using iFly and like it a lot, but one thing I find a bit annoying is the airport flags in 3D EFIS view. I think there should be an easy way to turn these off to de-clutter the view. The flags I am referring to are circled in red in the picture below.

Turning off airport flags in 3D EFIS view

Now that I know there is not a way to easily turn them off I will put in a feature request.

    Notification of bluetooth disconnect

I just started using iFly EFB on a Samsung tablet. I have been using the same tablet for a while now with the free Avare App connected via bluetooth to the Garmin G5x system with autopilot in my airplane. One thing that Avare has that iFly doesn't is awareness of bluetooth connection status...
