Would like to have iFlyEFB Ground Speed Instrument able to display MPH while distances on charts remain NM. Right now all distances/speeds are tied together either all nautical or all statute. Many aircraft have airspeed indicator in MPH.
Mike - I'm so sorry to hear this. I was hoping the new Dynon firmware update would fix all this since Dynon reportedly fixed their wifi stream. I have been having the exact symptoms you report. I updated the new Dynon firmware yesterday and also applied the iFly patch and planned to test fly it...
I'm glad to see Mike D reporting issues between iFly and the Dynon Skyview HDX system. I too have had multiple problems but some different from Mike. No map rendering problems here. But 2 main issues:
On both iPad and Android...
1 - GPS indicates connected to ADSB (from the Dynon) but only...
Strange behavior ver. 12.2.19 on Android. Inflight wx via ADSB. At zoom level less than 57nm tap on airport; then tap WX box...says no wx found in the area. But zoom farther out on the map & touch same airport and it displays the 10 min old wx for that airport. Also tap on destination...
A thousand apologies - you are quite correct. The PINGUSB is dual band Traffic only, no Wx. (Was confusing in my mind with Dynon dual band ADSB which I was just researching). Edited my original post.
The older PING EFB connects directly to the USB port on the 740b via cable. It's Traffic only, no weather.

The new PINGUSB connects to the 740b via WIFI and is dual band Traffic, no weather.

After some ping-pong emails with both iFly and Dynon on this issue it was determined that the iFly is NOT AT FAULT! Dynon found that their SV-ADSB-470 ADSB-In unit does not send TIS-B (traffic info) into their wifi stream (it does send weather) - it just provides traffic into their Dynon...
iOS ver 12.1.6
Ok bug reported and ADSB & other log files sent to support. As can be seen in photos TIS-B is not being received from Dynon by iFly while all other ADSB info is received.
New problem, also reported: moving map locks up & won't respond to touch screen input when ADSB logging is...
Yes you understand correctly...whole ADSB dataset is available & displays properly inside Dynon. I agree completely it is an interface issue between iFly (which claims it interfaces with Dynon) and Dynon. I went back & forth awhile back with Brolin when he was there & sent ADSB log etc. He said...
Ok, here goes: Dynon Skyview HDX with SV-ADSB-470 module which successfully provides all ADSB-In info to the Skyview display. My iFlyEFB connects to Dynon's wifi and receives all ADSB Wx etc. but DOES NOT receive TIS-B (traffic). Dynon thinks it's an iFly problem/Adventure Pilot thinks it's a...
I pretty much know the answer to this but perhaps one of the geniuses on this board may have a solution. Running iFLYEFB on an iPad in the aircraft. Aircraft has 2 wifi sources of ADSB-In. One provides Wx, TFRs, etc. but NO TRAFFIC (TIS-B). The other source provides Traffic only.
Right now I...
