    Black screen

Thanks, Jaydon! It's very comforting to know what's been done and what's happening--especially for the beta testers. I wish we had some kind of progress report like that for all of the topics here on the beta forum, so we'd know what needs more attention and what we can ease off of. Similarly...

    Altitude Alert

Hm. Well, there is "Vertical Speed to Target Settings ..." (in Menu > Setup > Alerts and Warnings). That might work for you--but I agree that isn't the same as setting a bug. I don't know of anything like that in iFly. I'm not sure what "target" refers to, either. You might post a request in...

    Black screen

I'm on iPadOS 17.4.1. So you might try updating your mini 6. Also, I'm on iFly (beta) version 13.0.30. It has some problems, but is generally airworthy.

    Black screen

Mike Egg, you might try deleting iFly from your iPad and then re-installing it. That's something of a bother because you'll have to enter your subscription info and re-download all the maps; but it doesn't really take terribly long. I've had a sorry history of odd crashes in the past year...

Quick Tip - Transferring Flight Plans from iFly EFB to ForeFlight

You're certainly right about "paste it"! And copy, too, of course. That alone would move iFlyEFB into the post-WinCE era--into the 21st century, that is. So far, everything AP has been doing with EFB--nice as it is--seems (to me) to exploit faster processing, not OS design philosophy. The first...

    Flight plan departure time wrong.

That's a great tip! If I can remember it, it ought to help me many many times over. (But it should be made obvious in iFly!)

    Search Flight Plans

I'd like a search function for saved Flight Plans--to search for airports and/or flight plan names.

    Add Cloud Layer to Maps

ADSB shows some clouds, but their depiction isn't nearly as good as your image above.

VFR/Vector and obstruction and terrain alerts

I really like the recent (beta) improvements--including TFR and airspace depiction--in Vector maps. They're now almost informative enough for confident VFR flight into unfamiliar areas. Also, they make TrackUp mode MUCH easier in Vector because all text is rightside up. (I might even try using...

    FBO depicted on airport diagram

Good thought! I'd like that, too. There are many, many airports with hidden FBOs, and often there are two or three, all located at different parts of the airfield. We can usually get help if there's a tower, but if not--well, you may be on your own.

    Extended Runways - suggestion

n case you haven't noticed it yet, Brian posted a poll on this subject: https://adventurepilot.community.forum/threads/poll-default-to-auto-extend-runways.382/#post-3335I

    Copy & Paste

Here's another reason for iFly EFB to use the device's native copy function: It's easy to find the gps coordinates of any location--just tap on it. It's a great feature of iFly. But then what?! For example, 1VA0, Sabot Airpark has a 2400 ft grass runway, with a lake parallel to it. iFly's...

    Tablet Aspect Ratios

The newest beta version of iFlyEFB has eliminated the black bars at the top and bottom of iPad MIni 6 and iPhone 14 Pro Max and all later iPhones. iFly looks very spiffy now on both devices and has about 25% more map area.

data upload to SD card was FAST today

Once--me, too. I have a 740 and a 740b. The 740b is noticeably easier to read in flight on a sunny day. (The number of "nits" a manufacturer claims is almost irrelevant, I've found. My iPhone and iPad both have fewer nits than the 740b but are considerably easier to read, partly because their...

Beta 13. Blue line when scrolling iPhone

I find it very useful for flight planning and just generally for fun.
