Does anyone have any knowledge of the POGO pin connections that will be the NMEA connection when that comes for the X7. I am looking for a POGO connection that will attach directly to that X7 without the bulk of the docking station. That POGO connection is not unique to the X7 but is...
I also found that the display needs to be turned off if you are attempting to charge the battery from the 120v source. And it has taken 24 +hrs to get the battery back to 99%. I normally operate the 740b off ships power and have found the internal battery to be almost useless for any length...
If the uUSB-C receptacle on the X7 could be confirmed by Adventure Pilot that the NMEA data is currently configured to that outlet , that would be a great serial adapter to be tested. . I actually believe that s where the problem would arise with current rev of the iFly EFB .
9/13/25 the BT connected X7 made the initial flight today. The AP tracked nicely thru the internal GRT . Was a short flight and no issues with the Track from the X7 to the GRT via SD1000 BT. However there still remains some work to get the BT connected properly... The effort here is to...
Found the problem with DB9 breakout board, the signal ground pin 5 was an open circuit in printed circuit board!
With replacement board the BT com'd well with the GRT. I see that each time I power up BT and Ifly app that the BT has to be " reconnected" by re checking the "Send BT RS232"...
9/7/25. Have success with the SD1000 BT and the GRT. I had used a break out DB9 board and would you know that the pin 5 on that board was open!! The printed circuit route was damaged! Replaced the DB9 and com was established with the GRT. I find that on initial power up that the...
I'm not able to select the "send Bluetooth RS232 to adapter" to accept a check in the box. I have repeated error messages that adapter not connected and next screen error will say that it is connected. Also not able to select box for Bluetooth device " SD1000xxxxxxxxx"
Tried unsuccessfully...
9/ 6/25. Installed in RV7, powered up and appears to be paired with X7. problem with the X7 in that it will not allow me to select the box " Bluetooth RS232." And neither can I select on the next page the device name I have for the BT. So never was able to see any communications on...
Progress report: powered up BT and X7 . Got to the setup and aligned NMEA data to be output. Appears that data being output. Next step will be to connect the RS232 wire and ground and see if it will feed the GRT.
Not connected to GRT AP yet. . I will post here the results of that. Maybe a weekend or two yet. I have it powered up on a shop bench BT connected to my phone but not any good way to tell if the NMEA is available yet.
