Found something that I did not see posted elsewhere, my 740 never seemed to charge the battery, even when left plugged in. The other night I plugged in the unit, then pushed the LED OFF button and left it plugged in over night and I finally have a fully charged battery.

I did, they said to send it in and for $70 they would replace the battery, I was hoping I could do it myself

I know this is an older thread, but I require the instructions so I can replace the battery in my 740
