I tend to agree with this, however it seems you also need a mile distance reference to enable looking for the traffic. If the traffic is an business jet, and heading directly for you, it would seem you'd want to know exactly where to look out the window, as well as on your screen to determine...

Might be a project for you to do. I found the location of the images in the Windows version. Looks like there are four files needed for each one, and I have no idea what half of them mean, two of them are simple .png image files, one of the aircraft, one of a black/white mask of the aircraft...

Not sure what you desire. Currently you can have an instrument that displays the next waypoint and/or destination. If you touch/click on one of those instruments, the airport information box will pop up, listing the airport name, Runway, Wind, Tower/CTAF, ATIS/AWOS/ASOS/etc. as well as buttons...

I have a couple of cables like this one... I have a similar one that is USB-A in and out, measures volts, amps, and (I think) watts. Am I correct in understanding that there's no real way to power something that requires a 12vdc input, like the iFly7XX series GPS products, via a USB cord...

Is it possible for a mere mortal to acquire a "USB" cable that will power devices requiring increased voltages (9vdc, 12vdc)? From Microcenter https://www.microcenter.com/ Or somewhere on Amazon.com?

I was under the impression that all USB ports put out ~5 vdc, yet it seems the chart above contradicts that. If a USB port can put out any one of those voltages, how do we know, and will it damage a device that is supposed to only use the ~5vdc?

Are you thinking like a GPS route on the ground to your parking destination, similar to a road driving GPS? Almost, except iFly would present a list of the taxiways at that airport listed with the nearest first. The list would change order as each taxiway is selected, to depict the most likely...

I suppose that's why it hasn't been done yet. Seems the FAA should have all that information somewhere.

I was going to start a new thread with an idea I had today, and this one popped up that is a bit similar, but expanded. I thought it would be nice/helpful if, upon landing, or when calling for taxi (which iFly wouldn't know, so we'd have to have a button/instrument/something to activate...

I just tried it in the Windows 13.3.53. I tend to agree with some of the suggestion. It seems the 5 second time out is a bit quick, but I don't know what the appropriate time out duration should be. I'd like to see the behavior change to: If you have clicked on an airport, read the QV...

Might also try contacting the company. Perhaps they have a trade in program to upgrade to the Stratus 3.
