Export and Import Custom Waypoints

My back country friend has a lot of custom waypoints defined. Places like private airstrips that don’t appear on any charts, places of interest, mogas sources, homes /hangars of fellow pilots, etc, etc.

How can he export that massive list so I can import it…?

Is it possible for us to have a “master custom waypoint list” at some location (like Google Sheets or something) where a group of like-minded friends can update and share their custom waypoints with each other?

I didn't find any way to export custom waypoints, although there may be a way I don't know about. I did find the waypoints file in my windows version of iFly:

C:\_iFlyGPS_Data\User\#CustomWaypoints

That file should be able to be opened by Notepad, or another text editor. Perhaps simply copying that file from your friend's application and pasting it into your application in the same place will accomplish what you want.

That would be a great idea for feature add-on!
I can think of all kinds of uses for a Waypoint management function where waypoints could be exchanged between users, created to support events for example.
