Had the Flt plan loaded on my iPhone Jumped in plane and opted to load it in flight on my iPad.

The device said I needed to log in first. Not sure how, where or why I needed to log into a device registered to me. I don’t ever remember needing to log in before.

If the devices are registered to me then they should be able to synch flight plans automatically at a touch of a button.

What if I was synching to friends registered device?

I am running the 13.0.14 beta version so maybe this is a bug. Both devices are on the same version.

This is not a bug.

iFly has two ways of exchanging flight plans between devices. One is through the cloud--useful for archiving plans you want to keep and potentially use on other devices in the future. This is called "flight plan synching".

The other method is an immediate exchange between two devices that are on a common network, like the wifi from an ADSB receiver in the cockpit. This is called "flight plan sharing".

You can familiarize yourself with how these work (and with all the other features of iFly) by consulting the user manual, located on the iFly Support website here: https://www.iflyefb.com/Support/Get-Help

Here's a direct link to the manual: https://www.iflyefb.com/portals/0/documentation/iFly EFB Pilots Guide 12.2.pdf
- Synching: see p. 22-23 (though the manual could be a little more helpful about this bit. Flt Plans are only one of several different data types that can be moved from device to device via the cloud.)
- Sharing: see p. 42 (this is probably what you were trying to do)
