I would like to file my flight plans directly with iFly EFB. I went to set up my aircraft data to file and am struggling with ICAO box 18.
The correct data for ICAO box 10 (what Leidos calls Aircraft Equipment) for my airplane is SBGRZ. The R is because I have a PBN-approved navigator (GNS-480).
When R is selected (this is required to obtain clearance for, example, for approach segments requiring SBAS), ICAO box 18 is ***required*** to contain your PBN capabilities. Mine are PBN/B2C2D2. I am also supposed to specify NAV/SBAS to indicate that I have space-based augmentation system reception and CODE/A4C5C2 to specify my mode-S code since I have surveillance capability S.
How are you supposed to enter this stuff in the user interface? Either I'm blind, it's just hard to find, or it's not there. Flight service rejects flight plans with R/Z that are missing the data in box 18... and not declaring your PBN or SBAS capabilities restricts the approaches and STARs you can fly.
