My plane came equipped with a Garmin 795 and a GDL50. I've been using it along side my 740B. I have to say I think the iFly hands down is my preferred GPS. So much more flexibility and ease of use. I've never had Garmin navigation equipment before but it seems overly engineered to me. It looks good on my panel but it doesn't perform as well as the iFly. Much to my mechanics chagrin, I'm going to have him take out the 795 mount to use that space for the iFly. Has anyone mounted the new iFly tablet on their panel? I wouldn't mind using a mounted iPad but I've always had problems with them in sunlight.
