To get the charts in track up, it needs GPS. When there is no GPS, it only provides north up as an option. It would be beneficial to be able to manually rotate the sectional with a gesture to track up without needing GPS.

Without GPS, there are going to be more issues with iFly than just which way the map is oriented. One might almost argue that having the map orientation change is a good warning to the user that GPS position has been lost.
