Brian, thanks for the explanation, but my vote is strongly for giving the pilot the option to display the target altitude in feet or in FL's.
And here's my reason: we don't fly at FL's - we fly at altitudes in feet. My altimeter shows us how high we are in feet and our current altitude is...
IMHO, the current pricing is still a bargain. Taking into consideration all the improvements to the app over the last year or so the price for the product is well justified. Keep up the good work!
Installed smoothly - AND it runs in full screen mode! I do have one request - can we add a "legend" for the altitude flight planning view - having the airspaces and weather (cloud tops?) in view is nice, but honestly I can't always remember what all the color gradients mean.
Nelson, welcome to the iFly family. New pre-programmed sd cards are available at Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0G15YU?ie=UTF8&tag=crewdog0c-20. Should do the trick for you.
Installed 13.3.24 on top of my last win version, stock win 11. No problem to install or run the app, still have the background visible at the bottom of the iFly window.
Our Stratux works great. I'm using the EU version of stratux, it's stable, AHRS works as expected and I really hope to get many more years of service out it.
Hi - welcome to iFly and the forums. The feature you highlighted may be similar to the traffic pattern flow (left/right) found in iFly when one looks at the airport info or expands the runways. I looked at the link you posted - I'm sorry, but I don't see much more info provided for VFR traffic...
Here's a suggestion to try - most Android tabs have a setting that toggles between using the 3 button navigation icons (as you described) and gestures (swiping up/down/side to side to navigate through the apps and screens). I'm running Android 14 as well and found the setting by opening up the...
Downloaded this beta - ran installer from download, iFly opened and ran successfully several times. Yes we have less than a full screen as noted by others.
I think the cutoff for Android compatibility was 8.0 for the newer versions. 8.4 was mentioned in a Brian post to be the oldest android version that would work with the new iFly versions.
We're using our self assembled Stratux - which has worked flawlessly since programming it with a EU version of Stratux to resolve an unstable AHRS display. I just checked and found a newer version for the same software version, adapted for US use. The website for the info is...
Well phooey. Downloaded and installed without removing previous windows ver 12.2.20 on stock win11 64 bit. Default screen came up in phone mode with huge fonts. Tried changing to tablet mode which caused the program (after a restart) to flicker and jump between a menu and the background map...
I've been testing an Alldocube iPlay60 tab ($160) as a replacement for an older tab that couldn't be upgraded beyond Android 8. The iPlay60 is bright, has good screen contrast, runs Android 14 and works perfectly with iFly EFB beta versions. I had looked at the hardened (and possibly brighter)...
