I don't use outlook, but when I try to submit a bug report in the windows version iFly defaults to outlook. I'd like to submit a bug report about the latest windows version of iFly.

Any suggestions?

That's really a Windows thing, not an iFly thing. I've never bothered trying to set it up so that GMail is the default mail app, but there are various instructions on the web that supposedly work.

If iFly is auto-generating an Outlook message, then it should be short work to just copy/paste the body and any attachments to a GMail message. Unless you're going to do that a whole lot, it's probably easier to just do that rather than configure GMail to auto-launch/auto-populate with the bug report data. (I'm not even sure that's entirely possible, since it's a web interface and not a standalone app.)

I attempted to set up the Windows default email app as "Chrome" (the only Google-type app listed in Windows). After restarting Windows and testing the bug reporting feature in the iFly app, it still brought up Outlook to send the email. You can either follow Cobra's recommendation or submit a bug report for the bug-reporting anomaly.

I've tried several methods of convincing windows 11 to use gmail without success. I think what I'm asking for is a way for iFly to generate a bug report that can be accessed from different email clients to aid in troubleshooting issues.

Just start an email in whatever client you want, use the email address from a past bug report, write up your new bug report, and attach the relevant log from the C:\_iFlyGPS_Data\User\#Logs folder. It won't have all the auto-populated data in the message body, but I think a lot of that is included in the log file anyway. Or if iFly generates an Outlook message with that data auto-populated in the body, just Ctrl-A to select it all, Ctrl-C to copy it, and Ctrl-V to paste it into whatever other email you want it in.

Cobra - thanks for providing the log file location. That's the exact info I needed. Would you please add this to the sticky post regarding how to send a log file in the iFly EFB Support Questions?
