    New iFly Tablet NMEA output

Wow… That seems like an awful lot of work just to get NMEA output to a EFIS or auto pilot. I wonder if it would be easier if the USB – C port were activated. I don’t know very much about coding but, I would hope that someday this would be possible. A wired connection is just about 100% fool proof

    New iFly Tablet NMEA output

I purchased an X7 from the manufacturer. The unit is a vast improvement over other tablets including iPads. I still have my trusty 740 in the front cockpit due to my autopilot requirements of serial data. The Iflyefb online manual states that serial data is available via a USB port, but I...

Why would I want to buy an iFly tablet? And what about WAAS?

I TEND TO AGREE... I HAVE THREE 740 UNITS, JUST IN CASE. BUT, EVENTUALLY THEY WILL FAIL. THE TABLET IS NOT VERY PLEASING TO THE EYE WITHOUT AN AIRGIZMOS PANEL DOCK THAT CAN BE MADE TO LOOK SOMEWHAT PROFESSIONAL

Anyone aware of this (possible) new Adventure Pilot hardware device?

Another piece of equipment is another potential failure point. The first rule is to keep it simple.

Anyone aware of this (possible) new Adventure Pilot hardware device?

Sounds like the bottom line is you can only use the A/P tablet if you want or need serial data to run your autopilot, fuel computer etc. Or use the 7XX units to drive those pieces of hardware and use whatever device you have to transfer data from the EFB program via a wifi hub, ADS-b receiver...

Anyone aware of this (possible) new Adventure Pilot hardware device?

I was wondering about the mounting details,,, it does not appear to be a flush mount such as the Air Gizmos dock for the 740 is
