Often when I click on an airport and click on weather, it hasn't updated since the METAR and TAF. It would be nice if there was a 'Refresh' button at the top to force it to pull a download. Just yesterday I opened it and the last update was about two hours earlier. I know it was because I was in an area of low coverage, but there is no indicator that it is trying to pull an update.

Are you talking about in the air, or on the ground?

In either case, iFly is "constantly" (at least every few minutes) trying to update, which is why there is "no indicator that it is trying to pull an update". It's always trying.

If updates are not happening, it is either:
- You are in the air and don't have ADSB reception
- You are on the ground and don't have Internet connectivity
- You have connectivity to ADSB or Internet but the source for the weather data is stale (i.e., it's an FAA data-publishing issue)

In all of those cases, an iFly "Refresh" button would have no effect.

Actually this is not true. I was on the ground yesterday and it would not refresh until I force-closed the app...twice. You can see in the screenshots below that the METAR and TAF was over two hours old. My internet connection was good and I even sat on the page for over three minutes and it didn't pull an update.

Then that's a bug. Please submit a bug report.

Might try? :

Map Mode> Nexrad> Settings wheel> Update Weather from Internet

or

Airport popup> WX> Wx Info> Options> Update Weather from Internet

Wednesday morning, I had a similar issue with about a 2 hr lag. However, I also checked wxbrief and it was not updated either. I was really surprised that there was that much lag even with Leidos.

That tells me there was probably a problem with the aviation weather source data and not with iFly or Leidos.
