Allow keyboard on sketches

I have 3 different Android tablets and the sketch function sucks on all of them. When I draw on the screen with my finger or a stylus it produces unreadable text with missing segments. I would like to have the ability to click on the sketch and TYPE on the screen where I clicked.

One of my biggest complaints right now is the lack of quick access to sketch on a smaller tablet or phone that writes well. From Map View, having one button to switch to a paper-style sketch mode would be especially useful on smaller phone form factors.
