It seems the Android tablet does not like to auto connect to the unsecured EchoUAT WiFi. Not too surprising, but I figured that maybe someone here may have had the same problem and found a fix. I can manually connect the Android to the EchoUAT WiFi, but the auto connect takes one more thing off the pre-flight checklist. Thanks for any suggestions.

Try going to your list of Wi-Fi networks on the Android device, and see if you can edit the details for the connection to your EchoUAT. Look for a setting to "auto connect" or "reconnect automatically" or similar.

If you can't find that, see if you can delete any stored login credentials for the EchoUAT network, then reconnect. When you reenter the login credentials, look for a box to check or a switch to enable automatic reconnections.

Example (your device may look different):

Click the "gear icon" to get to this page, and make sure the "Auto reconnect" setting is enabled:

Thanks for the reply. I am no expert, but as I stated the EchoUAT is a non-secure wifi network and I am thinking the Android 13 device isn't reconnecting automatically for that reason. I did confirm that I had done the steps you stated. When I get back to the airplane I think I will delete that network and give that another try.
