I'm an AOPA member and am able to log into https://iflightplanner.aopa.org/ using my AOPA login credentials.

However, when I try to use the iFlightplanner integration from within iFly (Flight Plan > More Options > Sync with iFlightPlanner > Login), those AOPA credentials don't work.

I found a place in the AOPA.iFlightplanner settings to set a new UserID and password, and I tried that, but still no joy using those credentials in iFly (or on the main iflightplanner.com site). I'm not actually sure what that setting option is supposed to accomplish.

I've been in contact with another user who uses the free AOPA version of iFlightplanner successfully with iFly, but he set it up a long time ago and doesn't remember what credentials he used. He thinks it was his AOPA credentials, but isn't sure.

Has anyone here with AOPA access to iFlightplanner set that connection up successfully? How did you do it?? (@Jaydon Beacham or @chrisqii ... any suggestions?)

Cobra,

I don't sync iFly with AOPA's iFlightplanner, but thought I'd try it after reading this post. I found that my AOPA log-in did not work, but my iFlightplanner log-in (different user and password) did work for me.

OK, with help from iFlightPlanner support, I got it working. I tried this same sequence before I posted here, but apparently did something wrong; repeating the process a second time yielded success:
  • Log into https://iflightplanner.aopa.org/ using AOPA member credenials
  • Go to My Account > My Profile, then select the User ID & Password tab
  • Type in a New User ID, then click the "Update User ID" button
  • Type in a new password (twice), then click the "Update Password" button
After that, I was able to login successfully from iFly using those newly-defined credentials. (Flight Plan > More Options > Sync with iFlightPlanner > Login)
