Just saw this on AvBrief.com - with the change of ownership and layoffs at FF, the fine folks at AvBrief have announced they'll be doing a review of other EFB apps. Hopefully our fearless leaders at iFly have already thrown their(our?) hat in the ring. Looking forward to seeing iFly in the aviation news.

I have thrown my comments on some forums about being a happy iFly user for some 18 or so years out there since the layoffs at FF came public.

Maybe 15 and a half, if you were an early adopter. iFly 700 came out in Aug of 2010.

Yep, somewhere around there, was making a guess. In my pile of old stuff is a 700 & 720. I currently plan to keep using my 740 in my Grumman and have the new X7 is for my C-182.

I asked Larry and he said iFlyEFB is one of the apps that will be reviewed in the AvBrief series.
I hope they have a knowledgeable user writing up the review. I was annoyed by the recent AOPA review by someone who doesn't even know the difference between "Microsoft" and "Android". It also came across as a newbie who had used it for about an hour comparing it against the comfort they had with using another product for years.

Thank you for keeping an eye out for opportunities!

Please keep us informed if you hear of anything else!
