I have a friend who has a landing strip on his property. I have never been to it on the ground so I can’t take my Ifly there to enter a waypoint.
His landing strip is not registered with the FAA or any other place
I can get the GPS coordinates of the property.

How do I create a custom waypoint to itusing GPS coordinates?

I don't ever use this feature, so someone else who does may come along with a better way to do it, but here is at least one way:
  1. Go to the Flight Plan page and open or create a flight plan.
  2. Tap "Add Waypoint"
  3. Tap Lat/Lon, and enter the lat/lon for your custom waypoint and insert it into your flight plan per iFly's prompt
  4. Tap the blue underlined lat/lon numbers of the waypoint you just added (this will take you back to the map page and open a QuickView window for your waypoint)
  5. Tap the "Add Custom Waypoint" button
  6. Give the waypoint a name and change the Type to "Airport", and make any other edits you desire
  7. Tap "Save"
When creating Flight Plans in the future, you can enter the name of this custom waypoint. It will come up just like any other FAA airport would and iFly will treat it like an airport.

Much thanks Cobra.
You probably saved me 15 minutes of wandering around the interface.👍
And by the way AI chat was unable to come up with the required information.😏

I use custom waypoints all the time. They're great for warning seaplane pilots about wires, as well as for locating airstrips and the like. Cobra described the method well. But you can also press and hold anywhere on a map to bring up an options menu with Add Custom Waypoint at the bottom. That will let you create a waypoint where you pressed.

Another way is to use a map, such as googlemaps, to find the place. Then press and hold on the spot to drop a pin. That will give you its gps coordinates.

It works fine--although it will be MUCH better when AP finally gets around to implementing copy and paste so you don't have to key in the coordinates one digit at a time.
