I like the new option for satellite imagery, but AFAICT it only works with an active internet connection. In-flight my tablet wifi is connected to my ADSB, with no internet connection. The announcement talked about caching satellite data on the tablet, but I can find no way to do that? Ok, there is an option to pre-load the satellite data for a flight plan, but it just leads to an upsell web page.
Is there a switch somewhere that says ifly should hold on to the satellite tiles I've already downloaded when I'm connected on the ground? I suppose I could just leave it running when I head to the airport, but that leads to an imaginary 6 ft AGL "flight" to the airport...
