The iPad Mini screen utilization issue was resolved in either v13.0 or v13.1. At any rate, you're correct--it's no longer an issue in the current iFly software. My ipad mini does not experience this problem. I suspect the problem resulted from the change in the aspect ratio when Apple removed the hardware button and lengthened the usable display areas with 6th generation mini. The same problem is much much worse on Android tablets runing iFly in landscape orientation: huge black margins on top and bottom of screen (even when the tablet is configures to hide Androids navigation buttons).
