Unless I'm missing it, what're your thoughts on having TOC and TOD automatically come in as waypoints instead of having to add them manually? At least adding a toggle for it would be nice.
Thoughts?

For what purpose?

By definition, TOC and TOD are intermediate points along legs in your flight path, not independent flight path points. What I mean is, if you rubber-band a leg on your flight path that includes a TOC or TOD point, that point will move along with the leg. If those TOC/TOD points were instead added as waypoints in the plan, that would anchor them to the map as lat/lon points. I don't understand why that would be desirable--that would would annoy the snot out of me, personally.

Depending on why you're asking for this change, there may already be ways to do what you want, so I'm curious to know what you're thinking of.

I absolutely see your point about them being intermediate and that's why I was after a toggle of sorts.
A lot of flying out here in Kansas is pretty straight with not much to work with in terms of visible "waypoints" as a VFR pilot. For those areas where visuals are tough to work with, at least a TOC and TOD waypoint would be something to visually reference, even if it's only through a "virtual" visual waypoint on the tablet. And since you can setup the "estimated time to next waypoint" timer, you can know when TOC and TOD need to happen if there's no ground references.

I thought that might be the case.

One way to accomplish "time to TOC/TOD" with tools available today is by using the distance ring. Touch the map and pan it, and a ring will appear, centered on your ownship. Place the ring over the TOC/TOD dot, and you'll get the time and distance to reach it.
