PIREPS on the new iFly Tablet?

That is the only thing holding me back from upgrading. The Autopilot integration is key.

    Sun N Fun

Is AP going to be at Sun N Fun? Would like to see the new device in person.

    I Fly 700 Question.

@Skip I believe it is the SD card full. I had years of track logs and corrupted files on mine when I bought it. Deleting old track logs stopped the error. I bought a larger SD card and rebuild the app on it.

Approach Procedures don't have all transitions active

When I fly IFR it is usually due to it is IMC somewhere along the route and it is usually single pilot. I always use an EFB to back up the procedure. I fly 2 IFR capable aircraft, One has a pair of G430 and another with an Avidyne 440. They all use IAF as the selection for an approach, not the...

Approach Procedures don't have all transitions active

Brian is aware of the issue and I would categorize this more than a hiccup. This has been a long running bug. See the post from SnF #7 While now gone, I discussed it with Brolin many times. Frankly, I would love for IFLY to be a viable IFR product for me, but there are still a few...

Approach Procedures don't have all transitions active

This has been an ongoing issue for at least 3 years. About a 50/50 chance all of the IAFs are listed here in Central FL. For this reason, I dont use iFLY for flying in IMC. Just checked KLEE and all 3 of the approaches are missing at least one IAF. I agree, file a bug, but the ones I have...

should iFly connect update software version on 740b?

I have had this issue quite often, was every 10-15 flights and once it started it was on most flights. Would just lock up or freeze. I have traced it back to corrupt files on the sd card. Rebuilding the card fixes it. My 740 has a bum battery, so it won’t stay alive long after the master is...

    Keep old cycle active

We can kill this one. With EFB the old cycle stays active when offline. Previously the app would just show a green square if you were offline and had old data. Glad it works. Admins up to you if you want to delete or close. Thanks @Brian and team.

Assume I am going to land on 740 flight plans

Ok, I am noticing that there is some difference in the XML schemas between a file created and saved in the ipad vs the 740. Specifically the header. <file-description>iFlyFullSpec:1004 X04 to KGNV via OCF True False False AA:X04;AN:448166_-1262997;AA:GNV; This is present in the ipad...

Assume I am going to land on 740 flight plans

Just loaded a stock flight plan (X04 OCF KGNV) on to my ipad. Left the final waypoint, an airport, as a non-landing waypoint. Wonder if it is an iOS issue.

Assume I am going to land on 740 flight plans

I am experiencing it on the 740, but frankly never really paid much attention to the ipad. Now I will need to look next time it happens and see if it does the same on the iPad. Pure speculation, I normally fix it on the 740 and I am guessing the flight plan sync fixes it on the ipad. since I...

Add speed to the flight plan

True fuel burn probably does add a bunch of complexity and at the end of the day it may just be a swag.

Add speed to the flight plan

Hook, to me It seems like TAS would make the most sense. iFly already takes winds aloft into consideration when planning, so ground speed is covered. I actually use this a bunch with another product. Our EAA chapter quite often does fly outs. Sometimes we fly as a gaggle other times it is go...

Add speed to the flight plan

Request add speed to the flight plan similar to the altitude functionality. Allow speeds to be selected for the entire flight or at a specific waypoint. This would directly contribute to waypoint arrival times and loosely to fuel burns. Examples * Lengthy arrival notams like OSH. Flight plan...
