Helicopter/gyro mode

There are two that I'm aware of. Choosing this aircraft type:

1) Adjusts the W&B form to be more appropriate for helos/gyros
2) Enables helo charts and prefers them over sectional charts at tighter zoom levels.

Unfamiliar with helo charts, but assume they show helipads. I am a gyro pilot, and usually land with light power applied. If winds and luck were in my favor, a helipad MIGHT be suitable as long as glidepath was unobstructed.

They show helipads, and also have some offshore grids for navigation (lots of helo traffic back and forth to oil platforms).

You'll want helo charts if you intend to fly, for example, the Hudson River VFR route in New York City--no matter what aircraft you're flying.
