iFly was part of a high-altitude experiment with my GRCC Aviation Academy high school class during the eclipse. https://www.airmarion.com/new-events-1/2024/4/8/eclipse-2024

The goal was to get video and flight data from 80,000'. According to iFly, we only made it to 64,534' MSL. I guess we put too much hydrogen in...

iFly EFB did great on the way up. It was spinning a bit too fast on the way down to keep a good GPS lock. We used a Stratux ADS-B unit.

It was also the launch of Sky High Scoops, another project of our GRCC Aviation Academy. https://www.airmarion.com/skyhighscoops

Thankfully, our IT team was able to do data recovery and were able to pull off the .log file to play the flight trail back on my Windows computer!

Thank you for coming along on our little journey.

Sounds like a fun adventure--thanks for sharing! (Bummer about the tree!!!!)
