Three questions:
1. Does the new tablet currently have the capability to output NMEA data to my Trio AP?

2. And if it does, is there anyone out there to share their experiences, good, bad or indifferent.

3. If the answer is that there is not currently that capability, is there a timeline pointing to the return of this feature?

The publicly-released version (v13.0) of iFly EFB does not currently have the capability to output NMEA data.

However, NMEA output for both the new iFly Aviation Tablet (hardline via its external chassis) and for all Android tablets (wirelessly via Bluetooth adapter--Adventure Pilot is currently testing with this device: Sena SD1000) is currently in beta testing and is planned to be included in the next iFly release (v13.1).

The inevitable follow-up question is, "When will v13.1 be released?" The answer is, "Soon," with the caveat that "soon" in software development time is highly variable. The more accurate answer is, "When it's ready." Perhaps a few weeks, perhaps a few months.
