Three questions:
1. Does the new tablet currently have the capability to output NMEA data to my Trio AP?

2. And if it does, is there anyone out there to share their experiences, good, bad or indifferent.

3. If the answer is that there is not currently that capability, is there a timeline pointing to the return of this feature?

The publicly-released version (v13.0) of iFly EFB does not currently have the capability to output NMEA data.

However, NMEA output for both the new iFly Aviation Tablet (hardline via its external chassis) and for all Android tablets (wirelessly via Bluetooth adapter--Adventure Pilot is currently testing with this device: Sena SD1000) is currently in beta testing and is planned to be included in the next iFly release (v13.1).

The inevitable follow-up question is, "When will v13.1 be released?" The answer is, "Soon," with the caveat that "soon" in software development time is highly variable. The more accurate answer is, "When it's ready." Perhaps a few weeks, perhaps a few months.

I know this is an older post but same question has anyone used the X7 with the Bluetooth device and been able to hardwire on over to the AP?? Some questions are: does the pogo connection on the side also have NMEA data access along with power for the X7. And if so could it be hardwired as opposed to Bluetooth..

I purchased an X7 from the manufacturer. The unit is a vast improvement over other tablets including iPads. I still have my trusty 740 in the front cockpit due to my autopilot requirements of serial data. The Iflyefb online manual states that serial data is available via a USB port, but I believe they are referring to the large Ifly tablet, not the X7, The X7 has a USB-c port, but customer service advises that NMEA data is not supported on that port. I am just not ready to give up a solid wired A/P connection to a bluetooth adapter that has terrible connectivity issues in the Amazon reviews.

Well I received the SENA SD1000 Bluetooth today. Was hopeing to find some info enclosed to tell me which pin number of the DB9 I could use to get NMEA data output from. No such info. Power for the SD1000 is USB plug and is doable with a USB to 12v module. The baud rate looks straight forward as to the info printed on the device. BUT which pin out can I find NMEA data. Looked at the Sena.net support site and about all that was there was not understandable for me. Anyone found NEMA source output pin # for the SenaSD 1000 BT device that we can use???

Think I may have found the answer. As per the Instal Guide found on Google here's a screen shot. Looks like pin 2 signal out and pin 5 is signal ground. Interesting that pin 9 can be used for 5v to 12v input( assume to be power for BT device) and acceptable to use 12vdc. Screenshot_20250828_194046_Firefox.jpg
