Does anyone have any experience with the new tablet being offered? If so can you share your impressions.

Held it in my hands twice at Oshkosh and was allowed to walk outside to see it in direct sunlight. The display is excellent! It is much thinner than the previously offered tablet and a much simpler cradle. I am going to pre-order it and will give a pirep once I have had a chance to use it in the plane!

I have been using the X7 for a couple of months now having bought it direct from the manufacturer. The iFly looks good on it.

I bought the X7 direct and have been using it for a few weeks, it's very bright, I've never had it above 60% with direct sunlight, HIGHLY recommended.

Two minor quirks, it doesn't automatically link to my uAvionix SkySensor but links automatically the moment I scan WiFi networks, the power end of the charging cord must be USB-A............I discovered thru trial and error that the supplied USB-C to USB-C is only for data. The supplied USB-A to magnetic screw on charging connection is too long and bulky for my cockpit so I will use a USB-A to USB-C if charging is required.

I recently made a 1.5 hour flight out and back, screen 50-60%, with 5 hours on the ground with the X7 on but screen locked/black and returned with 75% battery.

The SkyBeacon is ADS-B Out. You would only need to connect to it when you need to configure/update it. Perhaps you are referring to the SkySensor, which is ADS-B In?
