I bought the X7 direct and have been using it for a few weeks, it's very bright, I've never had it above 60% with direct sunlight, HIGHLY recommended.
Two minor quirks, it doesn't automatically link to my uAvionix Skybeacon but links automatically the moment I scan WiFi networks, the power end of the charging cord must be USB-A............I discovered thru trial and error that the supplied USB-C to USB-C is only for data. The supplied USB-A to magnetic screw on charging connection is too long and bulky for my cockpit so I will use a USB-A to USB-C if charging is required.
I recently made a 1.5 hour flight out and back, screen 50-60%, with 5 hours on the ground with the X7 on but screen locked/black and returned with 75% battery.
